The IAACC is a non-profit, charitable organization operated by a volunteer Board of Directors.
The Board of Directors are collectively skilled pillars of the community who mold and design the direction of the organization.

Co-Chair: Alison Karim-McSwiney
Executive Director of the International Avenue BRZ & One of the founders of IAACC in the late 1990’s. Returning to the board in 2018 to assist with the redirection of the organization.

Co-Chair: Ann Craig
Local Artist, long time resident of East Calgary. Sits on various boards within East Calgary to help better the community. Been with IAACC since 2018.

INTERIM Treasurer: Alexis Saulteaux
Calgary born and raised Indigenous artist specializing in jewelry. Enjoys giving back to the city and people by volunteering. Joined IAACC December 2024.

Secretary: Michael Gretton
Coordinator of Southern Alberta Heritage Language Association, Michael specializes in professional and volunteer experience in languages education, multiculturalism and peace education, arts and culture, community.

Director: Gita Boyd
Local business women, specializing in immigration. Sits on various boards for advocacy in diversity, community, and the arts.

Director: Michael Embaie
President of Southern Alberta Heritage Language Association, Michael values promotion of peace, community building and cultural advocacy.

Director: May Lee Muzika
Skilled professional specializing in community engagement and volunteerism. She has a special passion for the arts.

Director: Mitra Samavaki:
Visual artist originally from Iran, primarily focusing on photography. Pursued a Masters of Fine Arts and Bachelor of Fine Arts in Sculpture. Joined IAACC December 2024

Experienced lawyer, community advocate and arts enthusiast.

Executive Director: Kaylynn Miller
Background in arts and nonprofit/ small business. Versatile in bookkeeping, events, marketing and administration. Been with IAACC: 2012- 2016, 2018 to current.

Marketing Assistant: Sarah McCool
Started with IAACC as a student from Bow Valley College as events and marketing assistant. Specializes in Social media. Been with IAACC since 2023

Resident Artist: Stephen
Stephen Lowe is a metal artist, welder, and fabricator whose work transforms raw metal into striking pieces that blur the line between function and fine art. He creates custom furniture and 2D metal works that explore the interplay of light, texture, and form.

Intern/ Student Placement: Temiloluwa Oguntayo
New to Canada in 2023 from Nigeria, Temi studied at Bow Valley College to brush up on her Administrative skills. Looking forward to a new journey in Calgary!
